Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival, a Raventure Safaris representative will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your flight schedule, you can relax and prepare for the incredible safari adventure ahead.
Arusha, often called the safari capital of northern Tanzania, is a lively city surrounded by lush landscapes and stunning views of Mount Meru. It’s the perfect starting point for your journey.

After breakfast, your Raventure Safari guide will pick you up for a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park (approx. 2.5 hours). Named after the Tarangire River, this park is a haven for large elephant herds, especially during the dry season.
Expect to encounter giraffes, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, and predators such as lions and leopards. Tarangire also boasts one of the highest bird diversities in Africa, making it a paradise for bird enthusiasts. Ancient baobab trees dominate the landscape, some estimated to be over 1,000 years old.
Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing to your lodge in Karatu.

After breakfast, drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping to admire the spectacular views of the crater before descending into the endless plains of the Serengeti.

After breakfast, enjoy a game drive as you make your way toward the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most extraordinary natural wonders.
Formed over two million years ago, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is the world’s largest intact caldera. On the crater floor, expect to see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, flamingos, and even the rare black rhino. With over 500 bird species and abundant predators, Ngorongoro is a true wildlife haven.
After your crater safari, head back to Karatu for an overnight stay.

On your final safari day, you’ll visit Lake Manyara National Park, a compact yet diverse ecosystem nestled beneath the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The shallow alkaline lake is a magnet for flamingos and over 500 bird species.
The park is also famous for its tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, elephants in the forests, and hippos along the lake. After your walking safari and game drive, your guide will transfer you to Arusha or the airport (JRO/ARK) for your onward journey.
